It is indeed a pleasure to witness the change that is taking place in the work environment of the Government through promotion of the “go green initiative”. The initiative of the Government to move towards a paperless environment is visible in its decisions to mandate e-filing of returns under various statutes.  
Being a partner in nation building, we as Chartered accountants are in a better position to give effect to these decisions of the Government. Thus, we need to update and equip ourselves with the latest technologies so that we are able to provide efficient services to our clients. As you are all aware, apart from the Companies, the Central Board of Direct taxes has now made e-filing of returns along with digital signatures mandatory also for Firms/HUFs and individuals who are required to get their accounts audited under section 44AB of the Income-tax Act, 1961 from the AY 2011-12.

How to pay your Taxes Online

Step One - Go to

http://www.incometaxindia.gov.in/home.asp

and point on Pay Taxes Online. You will see three options there. Now choose Pay Tax Online (the last of the three options)

Step2 - After you click pay tax online you will be taken to this new screen

Criteria that a network marketing company must meet

After extensive research into the network marketing industry, the following criteria have been developed that a network marketing company must meet in order to make it a most desirable opportunity.

 The company should have a product which is unique and highly consumable, unique in this case means that you have an exclusive product that can only be purchased from your company’s distributors. Having a product that is highly consumable means repeated sales, thereby guaranteeing customers loyalty versus a one time sale and having to locate new customers. 


It needs to be a "ground floor" opportunity. Harvard Business School suggests that in order for the opportunity to qualify as "ground floor" the number of existing active distributors should be less than ½ of 1% of the population (300 million in the United States) in the country where this network marketing company exists. In the United States this figure is equal to 1.5 million people. Harvard Business School also stated that if there were less than 500,000 people involved, you would be on the cutting edge of a great opportunity. If the company has less than 100,000 distributors, Harvard Business School considers it to be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

          

Network Marketing Industry – Coming of Age

Speakasia is in a dilemma now a days. They are not sure whether they are here to do business or are they here to improve Indian Economy and Government.
They are trying to fight tooth and nail with government to allow them a permanent establishment but have been thrown in circles by one department and other. RBI says PE is must for remittance and RoC (MCA) says paying of old dues should be done before PE is granted. What to Do. Does it mean that you have to just fill the coffers of the government officials to get a clean chit for otherwise legal business.

Benefits of PAN CARD

Friends,

Don't shy away from getting a PAN CARD. Pan Card is the most acceptable id proof for an Indian Citizen.

Having a PAN CARD does not mean that you have to necessarily file an Income Tax Return. Income tax return filing is compulsory if you have taxable income. A person having no Income can also apply for a PAN Card.

Getting a NEW PAN CARD

Dear Friends


Getting a PAN Card made is quite simple now a days. You have to go the NSDL site. Click Here to apply. Just go to the end of the page where you will find a section Apply for a NEW PAN and a drop down box. Select Individual from that and you will be taken to a new window. 


Here you will be asked for your personal details. Kindly fill up the details as required. After the form is complete, you can submit the same online and take a print of the same. On the printed form, please paste your photograph , affix your signatures and enclose your address and ID proof as confirmed in the form while submitting.

What is this all about?

The company pays its panelist (people who register to take surveys) when they complete market research activities like survey provided by company. Every registration grants you a 'Panel' to take survey. You get the surveys for 52 weeks (1 year) and you can repurchase to continue for another 52 weeks after one year.

What kind of surveys/market research activity I have to take and how much time it requires?

Simple click and answer multiple choice question surveys. It will be related to consumerism. It's a survey and not an examination, so just choose what you know or feel is correct. For sample survey click here. Normally it will take about 5-10 mins per survey. Other activities can include online advertisement watching etc.
